Acer has released the Nitro XV242F in China, where it sells for CNY 3,999 (~US$550). The Acer Nitro XV242F has a 24-inch TN panel with a 1080p resolution, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and a monster 540 Hz refresh rate, among other features.

Acer has released a new Nitro-branded gaming monitor in China. As TFT Central notes, Acer aims the Nitro XV242F at eSports gamers, denoted by the monitor’s comparatively high refresh rate and low response times. Specifically, the Nitro XV242F has a 540 Hz refresh rate, which Acer complements with 1 ms GtG response times, which it claims can drop as low as 0.1 ms.

Additionally, the Nitro XV242F supports variable refresh rate (VRR) technologies for use with AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, as well as NVIDIA G-SYNC to mitigate image tearing at high refresh rates. Unsurprisingly, the Nitro XV242F is a TN-based gaming monitor. Still, it is rated for 400 nits peak brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 99% sRGB colour space coverage. Supposedly, the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified too.

The Nitro XV242F also measures 24-inches across, as its name suggests. Moreover, Acer claims to have included single DisplayPort 1.4 and twin HDMI 2.0 ports, along with a 3.5 mm jack and a pair of 2 W stereo speakers. Currently, the Nitro XV242F is available on Taobao for CNY 3,999 (~US$550). However, it remains to be seen when Acer will release the gaming monitor globally.
