Amedia: Dataangrepet var trolig ikke målrettet

Konsernet har gjort omfattende undersøkelser etter dataangrepet 28. desember.

– Etter våre tekniske undersøkelser kan vi heldigvis med overveiende sannsynlighet slå fast at trusselaktøren ikke målrettet sitt angrep mot Amedia, sier Pål Nedregotten, konserndirektør for data og teknologi.

Han sier angrepsform og modus viser et klassisk løsepengeangrep der Amedia ikke var et spesifikt eller planlagt mål.

Selskapet holder fortsatt på med en kontrollert gjenåpning av sentrale datasystemer.

Amedias nettaviser er blitt publisert som normalt i hele perioden, men angrepet rammet sentrale systemer for blant annet papiravisproduksjon. Angrepet er fortsatt under politietterforskning.
