Ball.net – Former attacker Liverpool, Peter Crouch advise Manchester United regarding who they should sign in 2022. Crouch believes that MU must bring in a new midfielder so that they become a difficult team to beat.
The last two seasons, Manchester United invested heavily in their squad. The Red Devils poured hundreds of millions of Euros to buy top players, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.
But so far, MU’s investment has not shown satisfactory results. The performance of the Red Devils is still unstable until the seventh week of the EPL.
Crouch assesses that MU is currently lacking one last piece to become a terrible team. . “Solskjaer definitely wants a midfielder who can connect every line of his team,” Crouch said quoted Manchester Evening News.

According to Crouch, United currently need a versatile defensive midfielder.
He thinks that the Red Devils currently need someone like Xabi Alonso in their midfield.
“They need a midfielder who can be a foothold when the opposing team carries the ball, and every great team needs defenders who can carry the ball. Good example for u for a player like this is Xabi Alonso,”
