Fortnite has not been available on App Store and Google Play store for 17 months. Although the game is not expected to return to stores soon, it seems that players will soon be able to return to the island via their phones and tablets.
NVIDIA and Epic Games test beta version of Fortnite
NVIDIA and Epic Games have teamed up on a mobile version of battle royale that can be played via GeForce Now. The desktop version is already available on the service. A closed beta with limited time will be available next week to test server capacity, graphics delivery and touch controls. NVIDIA has opened registrations and will allow users to access the beta in series over the next few weeks. You will be able to play Fortnite via Safari on iOS and the GeForce Now app on Android. NVIDIA and Epic have not yet set a deadline for the beta.
When NVIDIA enabled GeForce Now on iOS via the web in November 2020, it said it would eventually allow iPhone and iPad users to regain access to Fortnite. Apple and Google withdrew Fortnite from their stores in August 2020 amid a battle with Epic Games over in-app payments. The studio sued both companies, saying they did not respect competition. The Apple case went on trial last year. The judge concluded that Epic did not prove that Apple violates antitrust laws.
