In a formal ceremony, the Professional College of Public Relations of Peru (CPRPP) renewed its directive with the swearing in of the members of the National Executive Committee headed by its new dean, José Rivero Terry.
Joining Rivero in the new board of directors is Gladys Santos Serquén Solano, vice dean, Karen Lisbeth Cortez Gaona, national director Secretary, Cindy Stephany Huaripata Yizuka, national director of Economy, Ronnie Moscol Mogollón, national director of development Cultural and Social Professional.
Likewise, Américo Solís Medina, national director of Public Relations, Publications and Library and Silvia Marleny del Carpio de Burgos, national director of Regional Coordination.
At the ceremony, held in the auditorium of the San Borja National Health Institute, the regional executive committees of Arequipa, Cusco, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Tacna and Lima were also sworn in. All the ceremonies, except for the one in Lima, were held virtually.
In his speech after assuming office, Rivero stated that, despite the covid-19 pandemic, the CPRPP has grown and strengthened as an institution with the reincorporation of the Junín Regional Council and the creation of the Tacna Regional Council.
The new dean pointed out that humanizing public and private institutions is an urgent and urgent need and that public relations professionals should contribute to generating new and solid bonds of trust so that Peruvians can work in harmony and peace for the development of the country.
After paying tribute to the doctor Emilio Solórzano for his work for the creation of the CPRPP, which has already been in existence for 30 years, Rivero proposed the formation of the Advisory Council of former national deans and considered that their active participation will be very valuable for the new board of directors.
Previously, Dr. Marita Sol Orzano Castro, outgoing dean, who leaves office after four years in office, which was extended for another year due to the health emergency that the country is experiencing, highlighted the decentralized work carried out with the regional schools, whom he thanked for the effort made in support of his management.
Solórzano expressed his confidence that the new National Executive Committee, which assumed its functions on the Inter-American Public Relations Day, will know how to measure up to the current circumstances in benefit of the order and its members.
