Austria’s Green Party The Greens are questioning Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz’s ability to lead the country after a preliminary investigation into corruption, bribery and infidelity was launched against him.
In addition to Kurz, nine more people are under investigation.
The suspicions are that Kurz and his staff in 2016, when Kurz tried to become party leader, must have used tax money to buy ads in the newspaper Österreich. As part of the same deal, the tabloid must have published fake news and hairdressed measurements in Kurz ‘favor.
All opposition parties demand that Kurz resign. He himself denies the crime and announces that he has no such plans.
