With in-person shows happening after over a year and a half, the Milan Fashion Week saw some of the greatest moments in fashion history. From the two biggest fashion houses showcasing a collaborative collection to new trends making their moments on the runways, the Spring/Summer 2022 collections raised the roof.
Take a look at the best menswear looks.
ONITSUKA TIGER
Onitsuka Tiger presented its contemporary collection that combined fashion with sports, and heritage with innovation. Under the artistic direction of Andrea Pompilio, the Japanese brand showcased its Spring-Summer 2022 collection with a short movie titled MILAN-TOKYO.
BALLY
Bally’s Spring/Summer 2022 boasts utilitarian wear. From boiler suits to denim on denim, these pieces are a modern take on the comeback of utilitarian wear, creating a powerful and intimate connection between an article of clothing and its wearer.
VERSACE
Versace’s Spring/Summer collection highlights a pop colour palette with matte coloured leather jackets, neon suits, sequin bottoms and tops. Apart from the bright coloured clothing, the signature paisley shirts are complemented with others throughout the showcase.
EMPORIO ARMANI
Emporio Armani showcased its Spring/Summer 2022 at the Milan Fashion Week with its take on denim. The shades of blue colour were splashed across the collection with monochrome and patchwork looks. From bombers to loose denim, the collection showcased a variety, perfect for the next season.
FENDI X VERSACE
Fendi x Versace, also known as ‘Fendace’ has to be the highlight of the Milan Fashion Week. Called “The Swap” in the same way that Gucci x Balenciaga was termed a “Hacking Lab,” Fendace merged elements of both brands into an extensive, flashy mélange. “Swap” is an appropriate description, considering Fendi’s Kim Jones and Versace swapped their roles. The collaborative collection saw classic menswear suits paired with paisley shirts that highlighted the essence of both brands.
