Two policemen were attacked yesterday (Thursday) during an arrest operation in Kafr Qassem, by “Al-Khirasa” – internal security forces of the city, belonging to the Islamic movement and “responsible for internal security” in the area. According to some police officers, about 30 assailants participated in the incident, but only three of them were arrested. Police said they did not know the details and that only the two arrested were the ones who attacked.

They told the police, ‘We are the law here’ and then attacked the police with punches and kicks, there were about 30 attackers. Only three were arrested.”

On the other hand, police sources said that they did not know these details and that only the two who were arrested were the ones who attacked. The same sources added that the policeman entered by force and arrested the two. The guards from the security company then arrived at the station, apologized to the police and congratulated them on the arrest of the two known to be violent.
About a week ago, a man was shot and seriously injured in the city. A medical team that arrived at the scene evacuated him to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
