With more than 700,000 doses of vaccines against covid-19 already applied, the municipality redoubles its efforts so that the population completes the vaccine cycle, composed of two applications, in addition to the booster dose. For this, it maintains vaccinators, from Monday to Friday, in service rooms of 18 health units, in addition to the post installed in Porto Velho Shopping.
This weekend , teams from the Municipal Health Department (Semusa) go to the districts of Abunã, Nazaré and Nova Mutum, in addition to Morrinho and Rio Pardo to immunize residents.
During the course of the next week, the health units provide vaccines against covid-19 and flu in the afternoon. The morning period is still dedicated to the routine services offered in these bodies. At Porto Velho Shopping, vaccination starts at 2 pm and continues until 7 pm.
Vila Princesa and Santo Antônio units only work from 8 am to 12 pm.
Action will also bring flu vaccine to communitiesNext Saturday (8), the immunization campaign will take place at Porto Velho Shopping. In the districts of Abunã, Nazaré and Nova Mutum, and in Morrinho and Rio Pardo, vaccination will be against covid-19 and flu on Saturday and Sunday, from 7 am to 7 pm.
In the city of Porto Velho there is no vaccination on Sunday, returning next Monday (10).
FAULTS
One more time, the municipality reinforces the need to complete the vaccination cycle. Many people received the 1st dose of the covid-19 vaccine and did not return for the second application. For the municipal secretary of health, Eliana Pasini, it is a risk to maintain this procedure, since protection is only guaranteed with the two doses and the booster, which is applied afterwards.
“Receiving just one dose does not guarantee protection against covid-19. If you are too late with the deadlines, go to the vaccination rooms anyway and protect yourself. It’s also good for everyone who lives with you”, he recalled.
