Winter sports: you can be the president of the FIS for up to 12 years

The member organizations of the FIS have accepted the amendment to this effect with almost full support.

In the last 97 years, the association has had only four presidents – Sweden’s Ivar Holmquist, Norway’s Nicolai Ramm Östgaard and two Switzerland’s Marc Hodler and Gian-Franco Kasper – Sweden’s Johan, elected in June. Eliasch is the fifth.

Of these, Hodler was at the head of the FIS for 47 years.
