When Yellowstone saddles up for its Season 5 premiere with a bunch of new cast members, fans might have a hard time recognizing one character in particular — Carter.

Though Australian actor Finn Little’s character was introduced as a troubled young boy in Yellowstone season 4, it seems that he’ll be looking a lot different in upcoming new episodes. As fans may know, Carter was taken in by Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and her now-husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser). By the end of the installment, Carter was calling Yellowstone his new home. But when viewers start catching up on Season 5 episodes, the actor expects to raise some eyebrows with this new look.

“When you say, ‘hi, nice to see you!’ to the film crew and they don’t know who you are! 🤣,” Finn captioned a May 28 Instagram of himself.

As it turns out, the 15-year-old actor had a growth spurt in between filming seasons of Yellowstone, and it’ll be evident come the fall. According to reports, the hit western drama shot Season 4 between August and November 2020. Season 5 began filming this past May, so a good amount of time has passed since Finn has been in front of the cameras for the show.

“YELLOWSTONE Season 5. Yes! So happy to be back!” he captioned a film slate on May 27. A closer look revealed that they were shooting the second episode of the new season. Per his IMDB page, fans can expect to see him in the Season 5 premiere.

Apart from Finn coming back to the Yellowstone cast, much of the original stars will also be pulling up their cowboy boots. Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Gil Birmingham, and many more will be part of the Dutton family’s next chapter.

But just as a heads-up, if you hear Beth or Rip calling a tall teenager with curly hair Carter, you’re not mishearing.
