Telenor introduces new services for business users

Telenor is taking another step from a mobile service provider to an integrated service provider

Telenor will introduce interesting innovations for both small and large companies from October: the product range will be expanded with Internet access on an optical network and a managed firewall service. Both services will be available from the beginning of October. Telenor is taking another step towards moving from a mobile operator to a company that provides integrated solutions to its customers. The change started last year with the Hyperline on the leased line, with which Telenor targeted large companies. However, the now launched managed firewall service can also be a good alternative for medium-sized companies, while the optical wired internet service can be interesting even for small businesses due to the favorable price range.

Managed firewall service

Cyber security is more important than ever, yet companies do not take this issue seriously; there are a significant part of this for financial reasons, and a significant part also lacks the right knowledge (i.e. the right specialist). Telenor’s Managed Firewall service provides an answer to both problems: the product, which can be used within the framework of a monthly fee construction, can be used without any initial investment and offers constantly up-to-date protection technology. Telenor also appoints a contact person for customers, so it is not a problem if there is no professional within the company who is aware of the dangers of the Internet. Telenor’s solution not only provides effective protection against intrusion or data leakage, but also against extortion viruses – and with the help of artificial intelligence, it can detect new, as yet unknown threats with high efficiency. The technical background of the Managed Firewall service is provided by 4iG

IrodaNet

Following the introduction of OtthonNet, which was announced a couple of weeks ago, Telenor is also opening up its market for Internet services to small and medium-sized enterprises. The IrodaNet construction uses an optical network, the infrastructure is provided by Telekom. IrodaNet will be available in two packages, one offering 1000/1000 and the other 300/75 Mbps download and upload speeds. Packets will also be available with a fixed IP address. Optionally, mesh routers can be added to the packages, so those customers can also use the Internet with excellent WiFi signal strength, where due to the structure of the buildings it is not possible to build fast and stable wireless networks with classic solutions. The price of IrodaNet packages will start from HUF 5,000 net. Hardware, software, tests, curiosities and colorful news from the IT world by clicking here
